Community spirit shines at the Minehead Bay Festival 2025
The Minehead Bay Festival returned on Saturday 30th August 2025, bringing art, music and festival fun to Minehead’s beautiful seafront from 12–6pm.
Despite an unsettled weather forecast, the community came out in force to support the free, non-profit event, organised by local charity Minehead and Coast Development Trust. Families, friends, and visitors gathered to enjoy a packed day of activities, performances and entertainment.
The festival programme featured trial bike stunts from Saltrock-sponsored athlete, Andrei Burton, alongside skateboarding lessons and jams for all ages.
Two live music stages, including the main stage sponsored by Minehead Town Council, kept the crowds dancing throughout the day.
Visitors also enjoyed a wide range of activities, including:
- Nature-based workshops on the beach with Somerset Wildlife Trust, Wild Wellies Forest School and the Field Studies Council.
- Live circus performances from Higher Beings Circus.
- Wellbeing sessions, arts and crafts, and live painting from three talented local artists.
- A delicious mix of food and drink stalls to keep festivalgoers fuelled, including delicious Sandford Orchard’s cider served at the two onsite bars!
Festival organisers praised the turnout, which saw thousands of people braving the showers to celebrate community spirit on the coast.
